09/05/07 - You had your first LOM quiz today and overall the grades were good. Now that you know what to expect every Wednesday
you should do better if this first quiz was not a good score for you. REMINDER: If you were not in class Friday the makeup
for the test is tomorrow after school. We will continue with lecture on the Cells & tissues unit tomorrow.
09/04/07 - Today we discussed your first unit test which you took on Friday. Overall the grades were very good. If you
did poorly on the test you need to evaluate your study habits and level of comprehension for this course. Either Mrs. Harper
of Mr. Reyes will make themselves available to assist you in any way possible. There were a total of 56 A's on the test out
of all classes and six PERFECT scores.
We then began the second unit "Cells & Tissues". You have a cell project which was explained in detail
and is due on Tuesday 9/11 at the beginning of the period.
We then started lecture for Unit 2. Refer to page 44 in your textbook for the diagram of the cell. This will help you
with your project and give you a better understanding of the cell parts. Already today we reviewed many important terms which
we recommend you make yourself "flashcards" for.
Tomorrow you have your first LOM quiz. Study your week #1 cards as well as your math. Good luck!
